Abstract:

The focus of youth extremism on the seizure or redistribution of political power, its destabilization, territorial redistribution, and the forcible change in the constitutional system in the Russian Federation as a whole is of particular concern. The Human Rights Committee has repeatedly pointed to the inaccuracy, vagueness of the definition of extremist activity in the Law on Extremism, which allows an arbitrary approach to its application. Often it is the young people, facing real life with negative manifestations of power in our country, are looking for an easy explanation for these actions and a straight path.
