Abstract:

The article highlights a number of aspects relating to the issues of formation of the legal consciousness of citizens. These questions are linked to the mechanism of the formation of the active anti-crime position of the population. We also show the role of the modern media, allowing in some cases form the legal culture and awareness of the law, while in others - on the contrary to act destructively. It is noted that in the Russian society is long overdue all prerequisites for the formation of public policy in that direction.
