Abstract:
The development of terrorism is facilitated by many factors of political, socio-economic, religious and other nature. The emergence and spread of these factors are greatly influenced by armed and other conflict situations occurring in the country and in the world space. In this regard, the conflict potential of terrorism is of key importance for assessing the likelihood of conflict and the application of possible methods of deterrence. An important role in the incitement of hatred or enmity based on hostility towards representatives of certain national and religious groups (xenophobia) is played by the mass media - television, radio, print media, which became a "weapon" in the hands of terrorists. In recent years, the involvement of individuals in terrorist activities is carried out precisely through the information and telecommunications space.
