Abstract:
The historiograpfic analysis of monographs, textbooks, academic publications, Candidate’s and Doctoral dissertations of the last twenty five years is carried out in this article. The research focuses on different aspects of history of the Russian State and Law and comprises fundamental studies of the government activities in relation to legislation including the evolution of the Russian Civil Law in the 18th -19th centuries. The conducted research brings the author to the conclusion that modern historical and legal science reflects the comprehensive picture of evolution of the Russian Law during the period of 18th -19th centuries. At the same time, objective and subjective factors which had determined the character of transformation of legal relations, are identified and justified in the article in relation to systematization of Russian legislation in 18th – 19th centuries. The recent research findings in the sphere of general theory of law and history of State and Law create the necessary and sufficient theoretical and methodological basis for deeper understanding of various aspects of history of the Russian Law and further research initiatives.
