The activities of the prosecution of Tajikistan at the beginning of the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945)

Since the beginning of the war, the volume of prosecutors’ work has increased significantly, its character has become complicated. The article gives information about the changes in the activities of the prosecution in accordance with the new challenges of wartime. Prosecuting authorities of Tajikistan rebuilt their work in a timely manner to the needs of national defense, in accordance with the new challenges of the wartime conditions and coped with the decision of its tasks, cooperated fully with the military command and military authorities in the organization of forces and resources for the needs of national defense, providing public order and security. Prosecutor's Office conducted supervision over precise and unconditional implementation of the laws of wartime to ensure the mobilization of material and manpower for the front, protection of the rights of military families, disabled and evacuees, fought with the most dangerous types of crimes in war conditions with deserters, panic-mongers, theft and profiteering etc. and all of its activities were directed at ensuring public order and national security.
