Foreign experience of criminal law counteraction to illegal production and turnover of alcoholic products

The relevance of the problem and the purpose of the study. The article is devoted to the review of the criminal legislation of some foreign countries in the sphere of combating illegal production and trafficking of alcoholic beverages. In particular, we analyze the criminal law of the USA, UK, Baltic countries etc. Foreign experience in this matter is extremely important for building an effective domestic set of relevant criminal law. The methodological basis of the work is formed by the dialectical principles of research, systemic, comparative legal and other scientific methods. The main results of the study. The review of foreign criminal law norms aimed at combating the illegal production and trafficking of alcohol leads to the conclusion that it is not necessary to have a special institution to effectively combat the relevant violations. It is much more important to pursue a consistent policy of implementation of the General norms, but based on the principles of legality and inevitability of punishment for the deeds. Scientific and practical significance of the work lies in the possibility of applying the relevant findings in the formation of domestic criminal policy in the field of combating illegal production and trafficking of alcoholic beverages; in the implementation of further scientific research in the designated area; in the study of criminal law in Universities and colleges. The article is intended for students, undergraduates, postgraduates, teachers of law faculties and law Schools, law enforcement officers, practicing lawyers, as well as for anyone interested in the problems of the relevant topics.
