Abstract:
Abstract: The purpose of the study is to analyze the genesis of international legal responsibility and compare doctrinal approaches to the concept of the institution with the identification of its features and main characteristics at various stages of evolution. The article attempts to identify the features and characteristics of the concept of international legal responsibility in the process of genesis. Conclusions and results: the article traces the evolution of the views of domestic legal scholars on the nature of international legal responsibility. The practical significance of the article lies not only in self-knowledge of the concept of international legal responsibility, but also in ensuring future legal research to understand the current state of the institution of international legal responsibility, its real possibilities of embodiment in international relations at the present time, the role of the institution in maintaining the peaceful existence of the international community.
