Abstract:
Abstract: The study examines the importance of the impact of mass media on crime prevention and improving public safety. Attention is focused on the fact that the media are one of the main sources of information that influence people's consciousness and behavior. The paper presents the results of a study demonstrating that the media can have a significant impact on the crime rate. Various ways of using the media to prevent crimes are described, among which the emphasis is on informing about dangerous events, quick notification of what is happening, highlighting the successes of law enforcement agencies in the fight against crime. In conclusion, the author emphasizes that the media remains one of the most important tools in the fight against criminal activity, and the process of countering crime at various stages is a consolidated process.
