Abstract:
The article traces the history of the emergence and development of official periodicals of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). During the study, it was possible to establish the reasons for the need for such publications and their connection with other information materials of the ICRC. In addition, the publications allow us to trace changes in the Committee’s communication policy with the outside world: there is a transition from an academically oriented journal to newsletters, the purpose of which is to maintain a positive image of the organization through the publication of personal examples and stories of employees, which, in theory, greatly simplifies the understanding of the essence of the ICRC’s activities among mass readers.
