Abstract:
The paper presents an analysis of a recently published book co-authored by historian A.V. Speransky, art critic E.P. Alekseev and publicist A.B. Dunyashin. The paper highlights the importance and relevance of the issues raised in the monograph concerning both the historical past of our country and current events related to the modern challenges of Russian Federation. The paper also notes that the experience of the Great Patriotic War in forming an inseparable unity of the front and rear, deeply analyzed by the author’s team on the Ural material, should help unite modern Russian society to achieve all the goals of the Special military operation. The paper concludes that the content of the monograph, based on a scientific understanding of historical events, on a purposeful demonstration of the memories of historical figures and on the characterization of objects of artistic creation that captured the national feat, must necessarily be used for the patriotic education of the Russian population.
