Professor V.V. Kondrashin's article, based on previously unavailable documents from the Russian State Archive of Economics, reveals facts that illuminate a significant chapter in the history of 20th-century Russian agriculture and the Great Patriotic War: the evacuation of state farms, educational and scientific institutions of the People's Commissariat of State Farms of the USSR during the initial period of the war, and the role of P.P. Lobanov, People's Commissar of Grain and Livestock State Farms of the USSR, in organizing this process. For the first time, the facts of the evacuation of material resources and animals are analyzed based on his correspondence with other USSR leaders of that time.
