Abstract:
The article is devoted to the investigation of the key characteristics of the thrust sliding bearing. The research objective is to develop the design of a thrust magnetic bearing for high-speed machines.Model. During the research, the design of the thrust magnetic bearing is considered, the principle of its operation is described. The proposed model of the device takes into account the vector relationship of electric and magnetic fields. Elcut software was used for modeling the fields.Scope of the study. The field of distribution of the potential energy of the magnetic field is constructed, its component of the intensity vector is determined through the scalar magnetic potential. Attention is also focused on the bearing capacity and the dependence of the dimensionless bearing capacity on eccentricity.Conclusions. Considering the dependence of the dimensionless bearing capacity on the eccentricity as linear in the entire range with respect to the eccentricities made it possible to reduce the calculation of the load-bearing capacity for determining the dimensionless rigidity at zero eccentricity. Taking into account the fact that the ratio of the resistance between the contacts of the magnets to the common contact of the surfaces is the key for the formation of the geometrical parameters of the magnetic bearing, the dependences of the dimensionless rigidity on the geometric parameters of the structure are separately examined. The power characteristics of the bearing are analyzed, as well as the magnetic force, which is calculated according to the arising oscillations, taking into account the fact that for each series of permanent cylindrical magnets there is a limit of the allowable amplitudes of oscillations.
