Abstract:
Combating the criminal spread of HIV infection in the world in modern conditions is extremely important. Russian theorists are making some effort to optimize the criminalization of HIV infection under Art. 122 of the Criminal Code. The article shows that to obtain new knowledge required to effectively combat dangerous infectious diseases is expedient to turn to the study of international experience in this matter. Based on the analysis of the provisions of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Singapore peculiarities, which prompted Russian lawmakers to pay attention and detail to work out some problematic issues of the criminalization of the spread of not only HIV but also other infectious diseases.
