Abstract:
The article is devoted to the support of the Russian financial institutions to international initiatives for socially responsible investing, designed to promote environmental sustainability and socio-economic development. The authors analyze the reasons for Russian banks do not support neither the equator Principles nor the Principles for responsible investment the UN. Linking the issue of socially responsible investing with the level of development of corporate social responsibility of banks themselves, the authors formulate a number of proposals whose implementation will change for the better the situation in the Russian banking environment.
