Abstract:
The article discusses the features of the legal regulation of consumer credit. Insufficiently clear and adequate legal regulation of relations in the consumer lending leads to the inclusion in the contracts unfair and often illegal conditions. These defects in credit agreements with consumers adversely affect the rights and legitimate interests of borrowers, and inevitably entail undesirable consequences for the credit institutions themselves. Failure to comply with the contractual obligations of the debtor, in many cases, is a consequence of poor contractual and pre-contractual work with borrowers of banks.
