Task - Explores the issues of security of individuals in the initial stage of the criminal process. Model- The methodological basis of the work - universal dialectic-materialistic method of cognition of objective reality. We used the General scientific methods of analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction. Through private scientific - formal legal method analyzed and summarized the content of the legislation regulating the analyzed problem. Conclusions -Developing institution of the criminal procedural security measures is imperfect from the point of view of its legal regulation and practical implementation. On this basis it is proposed to amend the current legislation. The scope of the study/possibility of subsequent use of the results of scientific work - Сontent work complements the scientific and legal basis of the security identity of the code of criminal procedure; can be used in further research associated with the development of the analyzed problem. Practical importance - Some of the conclusions of the work can be considered in the practical activities of law enforcement agencies if you have any questions security of the person in criminal proceedings. Originality/value - Based on the analysis of norms of the criminal procedure law, studied criminal procedural security measures, the use of which is possible in the stage of excitation of criminal case. Intended for scientists, teachers, students in all areas of legal profile, as well as practical workers of law enforcement bodies
