The article examines the integration of the banking sector of Azerbaijan to the global financial system, the intensification of co-operation of national and foreign banking capital. It is characterized by the main feature of the banking system, analyzes the scale and nature of banks with foreign capital, banks operating abroad and foreign assets in the country, foreign liabilities of local banks. Finally, an assessment of the process of integration of the banking sector of Azerbaijan in the global financial system.
