Abstract:
In article reveals main problems, associated with definition of notion of «scientific revolution». Author tends to idea, that separation of scientific revolutions is associated with an ideal reconstruction of a real historical process. At the same time, in definition of notion «scientific revolution» emphasis can be made either on very form of transition to a new knowledge, or on novelty of knowledge. Besides, scientific revolution is a multifaceted notion, and, at least, it's necessary to allocate scientific revolution in system of scientific knowledge, in science, as a kind of activity, and in science, as a social institution.
