Abstract:
At the present time in connection with the crisis of international law and the search for new legal concepts in Russia has intensified scientific interest in the question of the choice of the vector of further legal development. This article analyzes the reasons of actualization of problems of legal mentality in Russia, the revival of interest in law to the instrumentation of a mental approach. The concept of legal mentality quite recently received "citizenship" in modern legal theory. However, modern researchers use it widely, using as a tool for research. The author concludes that features of the use of this term in scientific works and legal acts, as well as of the defects of the legislation. This work can be used for further research on the state of the Russian legal system and prospects of its modernization.
