Abstract:
In article is considered freedom in relation to religion as one of inalienable human rights. It's shown that understanding (and requirement) of freedom in relation to religion in different historical conditions filled with different content. It found expression in ideas: independence of church from state or independence of state from church; religious tolerance and religious freedom; freedom and equality of religions and faith confessions; equality of political and civil rights irrespective of faith confession; rights not only for faith confession, but also for the non-faith confession of religion. In second half of ΧΧ century was formulated principle of freedom of thought, conscience, religion and belief.
