Abstract:
The penitentiary systems of Latin America in the domestic science of comparative law remain little studied. Conducted foreign studies in the field of criminal justice indicate that the problems solved by national justice authorities are quite typical and characteristic of the absolute majority of countries in South and Central America. In the presented work we are attempting to analyze the development of the juvenile justice system and its current state in Peru, Bolivia and Chile.
