The researchers note that the state of the domestic legislation, the level of civil-law regulation of the provision of sanatorium-resort services does not yet meet modern requirements and the development needs of this branch of the market economy. Russian legislation in the field of sanatorium-and-spa activities has not been formed in the volume, providing the required degree of relevance, orderliness, completeness and consistency of legal regulation. The potential of civil-law regulation of this sphere remains unexhausted, which is due to the complex nature and variety of types of sanatorium services, the specificity of contractual relations, which together with the customer's needs meet risks and threats to his health and life. In the article the author considers civil-law peculiarities of rendering sanatorium-resort services, the relevance of which is conditioned by the accumulated experience in the implementation of preventive, therapeutic and diagnostic and rehabilitation measures aimed at rehabilitation, strengthening and restoring the health of citizens.
