Abstract:
The Republic of Serbia is a State with a parliamentary form of government. Along with a strong Legislative authority in the country acts strong Executive power, which is exercised by the President [9] and the Government of Serbia [10]. Therefore, the system of government in Serbia is often described as rationalized parliamentarism. The National Assembly (Serbian Parliament) possesses the traditional legislative, budgetary, and supervisory functions. The article analyses the legal status of the Deputy of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia: age, qualification and other requirements for candidates, the rights and duties of deputies, immunity and indemnity and, finally, the content of the free mandate.
