The task: the task that the author of the article faced was to analyze, on the whole, the activities of state authorities in the field of ensuring the labor rights of citizens. A special role in this area belongs to the prosecutor's office, the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation and, of course, to the body that exercises departmental control - the Federal Service for Labor and Employment of the Russian Federation. It is the study of the powers given to these authorities in the sphere of ensuring and protecting labor rights that makes it possible to determine the effectiveness of their activities in the area under consideration. Model: this work was based on methods of empirical and theoretical research, traditional dialectical and formal logic. Such methods as formal-dogmatic, statistical and others were used. Their use contributed to the study of the objects of interest to the author in their interrelationship, integrity, allowed for a comprehensive and objective study. Conclusions: The author comes to the conclusion that one of the most important ways of ensuring labor rights is state control (supervision) over observance of labor legislation. It is concluded that the prosecutor's supervision of observance of labor rights, the activities of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation are an effective mechanism, including in the matter of ensuring and protecting labor rights. A special role in this direction belongs to the Federal Service for Labor and Employment of the Russian Federation. Value: this work can be useful to students of the Faculty of Law, especially when studying individual topics on the discipline "Constitutional Law of the Russian Federation", "Human Rights", and can also be used in the educational process.
