Abstract:
The article describes the main trends in the development of supercomputers. There are the leading scientific and engineering schools, is described the experience in creating largescale systems and computer centers through a combination of its own development of hardware and software and the use of solutions and products of leading foreign companies. It is marked intensification of work in the field of system and application software in research institutions and universities.
