Abstract:
This article focuses on China's policies in the field of problems related to climate change. Discusses such aspects of the issue, as political relations between the modern Chinese state with other countries on reducing emissions of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, the value of the UN framework Convention on climate change and the Kyoto Protocol for this relationship, the role of China in the work of the intergovernmental panel on climate change. Special attention is paid to the relationship between the economic growth of the PRC and the solution to the problem of reducing emissions of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. The main conclusion of the study is the assertion that the growth strategy pursued by the Chinese government, inevitably requires adjustments in connection with the need to address problems related to climate change. If the experiment associated with a decrease in carbon content in industrial emissions (the German model for the use of renewable energy sources or the British model with low carbon emissions), will result in China, then China may completely abandon the policy of achieving high growth in the economy, and will move to a policy of qualitative growth.
