Abstract:
The article deals with the problem of gene patenting. This problem repeatedly caused controversy in the light of the achievements of molecular biology and genetics and it does not cease to be relevant. The article examines the history of gene patenting, as well as the legal and ethical conditions related to the patenting of genes. The conducted analysis reveals the problems of ethical regulation of patenting biological sequences, as well as legal regulation.
