Abstract:
The article presents an attempt to interpret the international political engagement in the region of Central Asia in terms of classical geopolitics, taking into account new technologies and the development of political thought. The author sees the essence of the «Great Game in Central Asia» in the confrontation and tellurocracy tallasokratii, each of which seek to maintain the status quo and prevent an equal dialogue radical new force in international relations. The main issue raised in the article are the methods and means of control over the Heartland - the geographical area, the possession of which provides state dominance in Asia and Europe. The author identifies two groups of problems related to the maintenance of the control, treating them in the technocratic dimension. The main conclusion of the article is the thesis of the special geopolitical role of Central Asia in modern international relations.
