Abstract:
The article examines the category of "fate" in the system of historical knowledge. There are analyzed rational and metaphysical foundations of the concept. Attention is drawn to the mystical con-text of the problem. There are given examples to characterize the extent and level of the matter in the framework of Patriotic historiosophy. There is a parallel between the categories of understanding the fate and character of the national idea.
