Abstract:

The article analyzes the social and psychological features of the online gamer, identifies common features that are characteristic of the representatives of the gaming community. The empirical base of the research is the publicly available sample study «Mail.Ru Group Profile of the Russian gamer - 2015» and the method of its own observation. Based on the analysis of socio-demographic and psychological characteristics, a social portrait of an online gamer was compiled.
