Abstract:
The concept of the potential Orthodoxy of non-Christian religions of Eurasia is a key reference for the Eurasian ideas about the relationship between different religions of Eurasia and the Eurasian religions with the state. Initially, in the early stages of development (1921-1925), a continuation of the Russian religious-philosophical thought, the Eurasian social philosophy almost touched the theme of non-Christian religions of Eurasia. The social role of religion was conceived as the role of the Orthodox Church. However, the politicization of the movement and its reorientation as the creation of a political program made for Eurasianism relevant topic presence in Eurasia other religions other than Orthodoxy. At the same time remained the trend of giving the special role of Orthodoxy. Of these two parcels - the transition of the movement from the religious-metaphysical and historiosophical theories to practical political construction and the desire to preserve the key role of Orthodoxy and any of the studied concept. Its author was L. P. Karsavin, who used to formulate the concept of their own religious metaphysical construction based on the philosophy of unity. The concept of the potential Orthodoxy of non-Christian religions of Eurasia suggests that the proximity of these religions to Christianity, which will allow to expect that the Orthodoxy of their assimilates that there is a particular form of Orthodoxy. The Karsavin concept was a response to the need, in the context of the politicization of the movement, to formulate a Eurasian attitude to non-Christian religions of Eurasia. Its disadvantages are associated with the original Karsavin bias, who wanted at all costs to justify the inner, organic unity of Eurasia, ignoring the complexity of the historical relations of the Eurasian faiths and the depth of their doctrinal differences. The Eurasians themselves quickly realized the harm of the Karsavin concept, which assumed an independent existence and religious creativity for non-Christian religions of Eurasia, thereby violating essential principles of the Eurasian social philosophy. As a result, in the Eurasian doctrine the prevailing version of modern secular state, which recognizes the free development of religious traditions, but does not highlight any of them and do not aspire to complete a religious project. It should be noted that the very possibility of the adoption of the doctrine of secularism is directly connected with the concept of potential Orthodoxy of non-Christian religions of Eurasia. It is the same that eliminates the time conscious will from the state religious policy and articulates the closeness of the relationship of Eurasian religions.
