Abstract:
Today, the People's Republic of China is one of the largest and leading powers in the world. At the same time, despite modern processes of cultural convergence, unification of world standards, global social openness and mobility, Chinese civilization retains its identity, traditions. Being one of the most important partners of Russia in various spheres of the life activity of the society, China represents, in addition to cultural studies, considerable political and legal interest, and above all, with regard to questions of ownership and the exercise of state power. The present article is devoted to the study of political and legal ideas about the status of the ruler in China. In the process of studying the subject, the author uses comparative-historical, formal-logical and other scientific methods, and also applies an interdisciplinary approach (using categories of law, politics, philosophy). In conclusion, the author concludes on the Confucian-Socialist basis of the political and legal status of the modern Chinese ruler, perceived as the father of the nation.
