Abstract:

An assessment of the importance of world currencies as an element of the world monetary system are presented in the article. The advantages and problems of the issuing countries of the world currencies are underlined, the channels of influence of world currencies on national economies are determined. The most important directions of development of financial markets as a factor of increasing the status of national currencies are formulated. Results of research can be used in the process of macroeconomic analysis and implementation of currency internationalization strategies.
