Abstract:
The article presents an analysis of the procedure and grounds for termination of the President's authorities in the Republic of Serbia. Serbia is a country with rationalized parliamentarism. At the same time, the president of Serbia plays a special role in the system of state power. In particular, he is the head of the state and at the same time has a number of executive powers. President of the Republic of Serbia carries only legal liability, and only for the violation of the Constitution of the Republic of Serbia. He may be dismissed by the National Assembly with the active participation of the Serbian Constitutional Court in this procedure. By analyzing the characteristics of the procedure and grounds for termination of the President's authorities in the Republic of Serbia, the author finds confirmation of the special role of the President in the system of checks and balances in the Republic of Serbia.
