Abstract:
The article presents the results of a comparative legal study of the rules of providing telephone conversations to convicts. In this regard, it is important to establish the legal nature of telephone conversations. The criminal-executive legislation of some foreign countries identifies various kinds of telephone conversations, allocating them depending on subjects the convict communicates with. The work characterizes the ethnic composition of foreign convicts serving imprisonment in Russia and in other countries. The number of convicted foreigners has a significant impact on the procedure for ensuring their rights and legitimate interests while serving the sentences.
