Abstract:
The goal of article: The article investigates to modern trends and perspectives of development of interregional free trade area (FTA), created on the basis of agreements concluded by Member States of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) with the countries outside the European Union (EU) and regional integration organizations (RIO) created outside the continent of Europe.The article gives a comparative legal analysis of the provisions of the Agreements, which form the legal space of the "big" EFTA, and is regarding novel that determine the future format of the interregional integration of EFTA. Method: This article uses the system, formal-legal and methods of historical knowledge. In the analysis of the theoretical and regulatory frameworks, the special literature, the method of comparative law, as well as the method of interpretation of the law. Results of study: "Big the EFTA" is a FTA, especially the establishment of which should be considered as the conclusion of agreements which may differ in terms undertaken by partners in terms of the obligations and powers of the institutional structures, however, are based on a common system of principles and rules of interpretation. Agreement "third-generation big EFTA" contains a number of innovations on the modalities of functioning of international bodies, which indicates the partners transfer under the agreement on the integration level of a number of functions related to the analysis and monitoring studies, as well as several changes mechanisms for resolving international disputes, due to all the need to achieve greater homogeneity of the "big EFTA" legal environment. The originality and practical value: This article may be of interest to specialists in international economic law, concerned with the integration processes at the regional and interregional levels, as well as issues of legal nature of intergovernmental associations.
