The article views some questions of qualification and usage of the lack of execution of parental responsibilities, dives the examples of investigative and court practice in criminal cases, the statistics, and also compliances with the enactment of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation. The author represents the concept of child abuse and its signs, manages its critical analysis and estimation
