Abstract:

The article considers some trends of the application and development of such an alternative method of dispute resolution like mediation in countries of the Asia-Pacific region like India, Japan, China and Mongolia. The general legal trends in the application of mediation in these countries, and identifies features of the interpretation of the concept of "mediation" and attitude to the possibility of dispute settlement through mediation in the above countries are being analyzed. The article may be interesting for both scientists and practitioners.
