Abstract:

The author of this article conducts the analysis of the Russian municipal law defines the basic trends in the development status of the head of the municipal formation (in the light of changes in legislation on local government that have occurred in recent years) outlines possible directions of further development of legal regulation of the most important institution of democracy.
