Annotation:
The article attempts to link the characteristics of the investor (domestic (Chinese) - foreign) with the types of arbitration and existing Chinese arbitration institutions empowered to settle investment disputes, including newly formed ones (e.g. established on 25 December 2017, Shenzhen international arbitration court (Shenzhen arbitration Commission). The author mentions new acts in this area (e.g. 2017 CIETAC International Investment Arbitration Rules). The results of the review, study and analysis give the author opportunity to concludes that foreign investors operating within the 1986 Law can resolve disputes within SCIA and CIETAC (SAC), likewise PCA, whereas investors, operating under the 1979 and 1988 Laws can settle their disputes within the BAC and other similar internal Chinese arbitration commissions.
