Abstract:
The Constitution of the Republic of Serbia 2006 guarantees the right to local self-government. The content and forms of realization of the right to local self-government are regulated in more detail by the Law on Local Self-Government. In the Republic of Serbia the right to local self-government the citizens exercise directly or through freely elected representatives. Territorial units of local self-government are the municipalities, cities and city of Belgrade. The system of bodies in units of local self-government are Assembly, Chairman (Mayor) and Council, and administrative body, analysis of organization and activities of which are presented in this article.
