Annotation:
In the article, the author, using empirical methods (comparison, questionnaire) and theoretical level (analysis, synthesis), examines the ratio of the size of the fine amounts assigned as a form of criminal punishment and the practice of its execution. The author believes that because the fine is associated with an important limitation of the material situation of the prisoner and, indirectly, these restrictions apply to members of his family, he has enough potential to improve the effectiveness of the Correctional impact. Problems encountered with the implementation of a judicial sentence to recover fine, linked to the attitude of a condemned man to the legal obligations of its faithful implementation. To assist in the formation of a condemned man a sense of responsibility for the execution of the punishment involved his relatives, representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church, labour, etc., which in turn affects the efficiency of this type of punishment.
