SOME PECULIARITIES OF EXTREMISM IN THE NORTH-CAUCASUS REGION AMONG YOUNG PEOPLE

One of the most acute problems of modern Russia is the spread of extremism. His character is becoming more organized, the level of violence is increasing, the number of crimes connected with extremism is growing. Increasingly, extremism is manifested not only in all spheres of the life of society, but also in political, economic, social, religious activities. The causes of the spread of extremism are, as common causes inherent in criminality in general (social, economic, political factors), and specific, associated with specific conditions of existence and with the characteristics of individual social groups. The problem of extremism in our country was hushed up for a long time [1]. In the criminal legislation, extremism was also characterized as hooliganism, including on national and religious grounds. Legislatively, the notion of extremism was not fixed, which did not clearly define its outright antics, which, of course, made it possible to avoid criminal responsibility for its deeds. In the collapse of the Soviet Union, the sharp aggravation of extremism was led, first of all, by political, economic, social, national and religious contradictions, which led to the emergence of new trends, movements and groupings in the country. If earlier murders were committed with the use of firearms - this caused a great public response. Now, when committing a murder, a high audacity of committing a crime (in the daytime, in public places, etc.), crimes are committed using high-performance weapons (assault rifles, grenade launchers, flamethrowers, etc.), the extreme zinnity and cruelty of the criminals' actions are manifested. In the process of service, many law enforcement officers often face such concepts as "Wahhabism," "extremism," or "terrorism." And, unfortunately, some employees do not have a clear idea of their meaning and quite often confuse these concepts. And this is not surprising. They have recently entered the everyday life of Russians, but each year they are gaining greater importance. To understand the essence of extremist activity in the religious sphere of public life, this article [2] will help to a certain extent.
