The article covers the problem of protection of children from negative information, emphasizing international standards and international experience on counter and control of information which can be harmful to the child's health and development. The analyses is given to international documents on the protection of children from the negative information, their characteristics and features. The need for a universal international convention containing methods and tools for cooperation in the sphere of protection of children from information that can be harmful to their health and development is stressed and justified. The research demonstrates burning problems of legal regulation of children protection from negative information and suggests solutions of the problem.
