Abstract:

The article noted that corruption is a complex, multi-faceted social phenomenon and is the subject of active debate between domestic and foreign researchers. In recent years, the scientific community is engaged in the development of targeted mechanism of counteraction of corruption at various levels. In turn, representatives of the Council of Europe countries are betting on the strengthening of the legal framework and effective implementation of existing standards in the field of combating corruption. In the article analyzes various international instruments aimed at combating corruption; defines the concept of corruption perception as a very ambiguous phenomenon. At the end of the article concludes about appropriate and effective anti-corruption mechanism existing in Europe.
